Eagle Cliff Peak & Lake Trail #100 Spring-Summer-Fall Easy

One thing that makes Eagle Cliff Peak and Lake a nice hike, is it's easy of access. You drive to McDonald's Lake, then it's only a mile hike to Eagle Cliff Lake. Along the way there is a bridge over a sensitive area that has a small waterfall that falls around a large boulder. For those who want a workout, there is a “trail” to the top of Eagle Peak, on the southeast side of the lake. While at the trailhead, notice the waterfalls below the bridge.
To get to the trailhead, drive east on I-90 into Montana to the Dry Creek exit. The road is on the south side of the freeway and heads south on FR # 69 to the junction with Road # 342. Turn right onto Road # 342. Drive about 12 miles and turn left onto road # 7834 for 5 miles to the trailhead.

Cool things to see: drive to first lake, waterfall below parking area, easy hike to second lake, towering mountain, 360 degree summit views, Mountain Goats, rocks, cliffs, wildflowers, small waterfall and scenic trail.
